November 21, 2007 at 3:23 amDVFilm Maker for Mac can add 3:2 pulldown. I believe it is almost real time for most SD formats and typical workstations.
It also has options for softening interline flicker (the “Deflicker” setting) and others,

There are tons of options to do this outside of Final Cut. What we want is the ability to edit native 24p footage in a 29.97 timeline and have 3:2 pulldown added to that footage – either automatically or by using a filter.
