A MUST READ for anyone installing FCPX today

Hey Jeff, thanks for posting.

I m just getting a new laptop with a 750 Go hard drive and i m interested in giving a try to X but so used to fcp 7 that i think i ll keep on working on it for a bit.

I do think i m gonna use the partitionning method but i m just wandering… How big the partition for X should be…

I’ve been running Lion +FCP7/X for six months now without problems – so you could partition – I’d suggestion 100 or so gigs, but I wouldn’t bother at this point. Also, some of my ‘accessory’ apps, like photoshop would have to be deactivated, reboot, switch partitions, activate, etc.

Just not worth it.
