December 30, 2010 at 3:31 pmFor Resolve you have to unplug monitor(s) from 285 to get the full power out of it and connect monitor(s)
to 120. SO just 120 is for gui and 285 is for raw cuda power.—

December 30, 2010 at 5:09 pmBut for Color you’ll have to connect it to the 285. If you think you are going back and forth frequently, I’d get a DVI switcher.

December 31, 2010 at 7:28 amif i try running Color with dual acd’s plugged into the 120 I see color opening and not crashing when i try launching…i understand that resolve needs the 285 for gpu so is the 120 to weak for color because it cant use the 285 at all? I like the idea of a switcher but have never used one myself – is there one you guys might recommend?
thank you for your help.

December 31, 2010 at 9:38 amColor will be only 4% slower with the GTX 285 than with the ATI 4870, but it will be very slow with the 120.
