    Yes, add the Particle System to a solid.

    I’m at home now so I don’t have those settings in front of me but I’ll tell you what I remember:

    Particle: Soft Sphere (or faded sphere)
    Turn off all velocity and gravity.
    Make the birth and death colors white.
    Make the birth size a little bigger than the death size. Set the lifespan to your liking.

    Zero out any randomness, like random size. Really go and zero almost everything. You just want the particles to exist were they were created. Get it to that then tweak from there.

    Alright, I’ll play around with it, thanks. One last question, if I wanted to some how apply the motion track points to a mask how would I go about doing that?

    no can do in AE. And amazingly this still isn’t offered in AE7 as far as I’m aware. You can put the position frames on a layer that the mask is a part of though.
