    Hi Tom,

I am learning a lot! I ran into an issue that I can’t seem to resolve and I was wondering if you knew a solution.

After tracking in Mocha and exporting my tracking data into text file, I am doing the CC Corner Pin in AE and importing my tracking data using Mocha Import +, but after applying the tracking data, it is shrinking the screenshot.

Can’t figure out why? When I watch this tutorial: https://vimeo.com/15797919, it mentions to choose Unstretch before applying the tracking data, but when I do, the screen is over scaled (but fits nicely within the tracking).

    Any ideas?

Chris, Please post a link to the the clip you are referring to so I can see what you are doing.

Please clarify what you mean by screenshot. Are you referring to the shot of the screen rotating on the turntable OR the shot of the screen that will be placed into the rotating shot?

Here’s a screenshot of what is happening. As you can see, after applying the tracking data, it shrinks my CC Power Pin screen shot.

Is the shot being placed on the screen a full screen shot.

By that I mean, if your comp & tracking shot is 1920 x 1080, is the video being place on the screen the same size. I bet its not.

If this is the problem, take the footage and precomp it in a size that matches your main project.. Then stretch it to fill the full screen. Then apply the tracking data to the precomp.

I believe in MI+ there is a choice that does this for you automatically.

Just in case you havent seen it yet, this tutorial is a great intro that covers many aspects of using MI+. I watch it once a year.

That was it! The problem was that after watching the tutorials, I thought I had to add a CC Power Pin to my screenshot layer, adjust the 4 corners and then add the tracking data. If i just add the tracking data with a screenshot that has been pre-comped to be the same size, it fits perfectly.

Now I just need to get my tracking right and I will be golden.

Thanks Tom! I owe you a beer (or coffee).
