October 5, 2016 at 3:18 amThe problem is your recording software–not Vegas. You need to find something compatible with Vegas–e.g. OBS. A 10 minute video should take no more than 20 minutes to render. Even with with my old i7 3770K, I can render 1080 60P footage in just a little slower than real-time, assuming no effects.

October 5, 2016 at 5:06 amThe upload time depends on internet connection, I think.
The rendering time depends on source footage format is being used, but if effects are involved that can hugely impact the rendering speed.
So when it’s about CPU only rendering (as the above posts makes me think) a chroma-key can increase render time a lot, and a blur is even worse in that aspect. So far we got no information (or I did overlook it) about the contents of the project.
How many tracks are there in?
How many and what effects are involved?Best regards

October 5, 2016 at 6:36 amI looked up OBS
https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/video-source-plugin.20/Surely this is looking at it the wrong way. Vegas needs to support *common* video formats properly. Most people are stuck with whatever camera they have.
The only scenario I have heard of rendering anywhere near real time was on a Mac running Final Cut Pro, a very simple job, and using the Mac video coprocessor. Vegas doesn’t use the majority of video cards for rendering… many threads on this.
I have just done a 80hr render of a 7hr video. Two tracks (one with continuous text subtitles – ex-GPS data actually), colour correction, contrast, NBFX lens correction. However these FX don’t make a lot of difference to the wider issue. Removing them might reduce the render to something like 50hrs. The biggest factor by far is the output bitrate. I am rendering to 50mbits/sec. The output image size has no effect. Just the bit rate.

Agreed, but the OP is not doing a camera recording, he is using game recording software, a completely different kettle of fish.
Sorry–I see that he is adding webcam footage as well. Still–no reason for such excessive renderin times.
I did some tests awhile back using OBS for recording. The results can be found here.

At the time, I didn’t do any speed tests for subsequent renders, but in general I get roughly 44 fps for 1080 60P renders using Handbrake, a much better encoder (IMHO) than those within Vegas. There is an available script that permits one-click operation. Adding levels, color curves and unsharpening drops it to around 38-39 fps. Again, this is on a 4yr old core i7, so newer systems should be faster.
