June 6, 2013 at 3:28 pmI certainly hope Apple is not coy next week at the WWDC about their plans for the redesigned Mac Pro. That and the immenent release of footage from the BMPC4K will help determine if I go for the 4K camera or the BMCC MFT which we now know will finally be released as early as next week! Quite a week coming up, quite a year if Apple is also going to join those several firms trying to make 2013, the year of 4K. I personally think that makes much more sense to a broad market compared to the push last year for 3D everywhere. As you mentioned, 4K acquisition can be very important even if deliverables are still 2K or HD. I am looking forward to being able to generate 4:4:4 colour from 4K acquisition after having been stuck in a 4:2:0 HDV world.

June 6, 2013 at 3:47 pmPersonally I can’t imagine how Apple can avoid talking about the MacPro at WWDC.
Given the dual GPU situation, I’d suspect developers would to know details in order to code their programs’ graphic dependancies. Much like Apple had to talk about Retina display previously.
