I do a lot of green screen work. I use Ultra 2 for keying , but have been using sony vegas chromakeyer to save time.

I am trying to grab a swatch of my green screen with the chromakeyer effect selected and cannot get a box to appear in my preview window using the eyedropper to select a range of the green.

Is there a preference setting that should be checked that allows a selection box to appear.

    Thanks

    Bob

The behaviour was changed in (I think) Pro 8 from a rectangle to a point.
Thanks to experimenting on behalf of other Vegas users, the rectangle drag function still works even though it doesn’t appear as one.

    Thanks Mike,

So right now all I see is the eyedropper over the preview window. Do I assume that if I drag at an angle it is creating a transparent box with the range being from starting point to ending ?

Bob, that’s my understanding of how it now works.
