My project won’t render
Hi –
I’ve been working on a movie since last summer and I’m trying to render it. My problem is that when I try to render it, it’ll close up everything. The program will go off and I’ll be staring at my desktop. At other times, it’ll stop a few seconds in and say the program has encountered an error and that “Windows will contact me with a solution if one is found” (yeah, I’m sure they will…)
Anyway, I’ve tried rendering it in a few different formats but I’m not sure exactly what to do or how to do it.
Can anyone give me some advice or walk me through some processes? This is a pretty big movie (a sequel to an earlier one), and it’s already a bit overdue.

Hey Joe – thanks for the quick response.
I might be a bit difficult to help because I’m not completely computer literate, but I’ll let you know what I do know and maybe you can fill me in on where to find the answers to the other questions.OS – Windows 2007
File types – Mostly HD clips from a Sony Handycam. Also are some
downloaded clips from online and some photos.
Rendering to – avi. format, preferably, but I’ve tried various other
options with no positive outcomes.
Comp specs – I’m not sure what this is. Where can I find the info to

Hey Joe – my computer is running Vista.
RAM: 6.00 GB
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5300 @2.60GHz 2.60 GHzI’m using Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum Edition. It was purchased as an upgrade from the hard copy I purchased of an older version (6.0 I believe).
