Hi- I suspect this shouldn’t be too hard but I couldn’t figure it out and I didn’t see a posting about it so here’s my question: I would like to create an effect where all the particle spheres are going into a door as though it’s a mass of people. So first of all I need particles coming together as opposed to going outward and secondly I need them to be more or less on a horizonal plane. I have both trapcode Particular, Particle Playground, CC Particle World and CC Particle Systems 2 on my system and AE CS3 Pro. Thanks much!

Particular has a ‘physics Time factor’ that can go negative, but even with a prerun-% of 100 (set in the options panel) this doesn’t make a lot of sense to me…

So just animate it in reverse, then do a precomp and reverse the layer again. or do timeremapping.

Particle Playground’s Wall property may do the trick for you. But you’ll have to watch for the hyperactivity when the particles hit the wall. Depending on the look you want, this may just work.

    Good Luck!

Or use Foam, precompse it, and time reverse the precomp.
the hardest thing about particle systems running backwards is that the physics that are built into them are designed to simulate explosions, not gatherings.
I have zero experience with Particle Playground but I’ve gotten great reversals with Foam, CC Particle Systems, and CC Particle World. World is probably my favorite because the floor can be edited to be a wall or ceiling and have bounce properties.

Someday I simply MUST explore Palyground.
