  • Multi-Cam Color Correction Question (using Ultimate S)

    Hello,

I’m working on a multi-cam project, using the multi-cam function of Ultimate S.

I first make basic color correction to each of the 4 video tracks. But as expected, when I “Process the Edits at the Markers” so that Ultimate S complies the shot sequences onto a new, single track, the color correction FX does not follow.

Is there any way to have the applied color correction FX follows up to the new, single track? My workflow has been to apply the proper FX to each individual track, render each track, and then create a new project with these modified/rendered tracks. IS THERE A BETTER WAY?

Many thanks in advance for any and all comments, suggestions, etc.

Yes, simply add the color correction to the media instead of the track (after all it’s the media itself that is in need of correction). Use the Project Media tab and find the clip that needs correcting. Right-click it and select Media FX… then apply the color correction to the media. Now anywhere you use that media in your project, it will be color corrected.
