    Hi All…

    Coming from tree based compositors.

I have a template folder in the Project Panel that contains:

Comps with subordinate Precomps, and related footage.

Is there a way to Duplicate that folder so that the assets in the copy automatically reference the assets within that copied folder as opposed to pointing to the assets in the original template folder?

(the equivalent of copying a whole branch in a node comping tool)

That way I could just replace footage and not have to relink the new comps.

    Thanks gurus…

I don’t know how to duplicate the “tree”, but I can tell you how I work with templates.
I create the project containing only the template, call it “template.aep” and import it into the project I am currently in.
I can import this “template.aep” many times. The result is: several copies of the template in one project.
