  Rotoscoping layers for cloning objects

  Hello, I am planning to create a short video in which I clone myself. The problem is one of the shots calls for one of my clones to go behind the other clone. I believe the only way of making it seem the clone is behind the other clone is to rotoscope the top layer, I have tried this in one of my other projects which called for the same thing but it took WAY TO LONG and I abandoned the project. Now, my question is, is there any other way I could accomplish this effect, there is NO camera movement what so ever so no tracking is needed. I mean, is there any other way of making the top layer and bottom layer blend in without rotoscoping my clone out of the top layer. If there is no other way but to rotoscope it, is there atleast a faster way of doing it (special programs, plug ins, etc) I am willing to buy any product that will help achieve this effect or any product that will make rotoscoping faster.

  Shoot yourself on a green screen and key out the background.

  Do some tests with difference mattes, if there’s the right contrast and color difference between foreground and background, this can work half decent. Especially since you’re re-using the same background.
  choose your wardrobe and your background well, and you’re halfway there.

  Either way it’s a nice starting point, you can clean up problem areas using masks
