I edit Weddings, photomontages, and anniversaries with Sony Vegas 7. There is something that I have wanted to do but do not know how to go about it. I want to open a video with a book lying on a table, the book opens, and I slow zoom into the book to show a picture of the couple (would also like to have the capabilities to show video in the book), and then be able to turn the page a few times to show additional pictures.
I done a search on this forum and found an a link to a “Book page turn veg” from 2003 but I suppose it is no longer there as I cannot find it. Does anyone know where I could find such a veg file or software that I can use to create this without having to go through a steep learning curve. Thank you in advance.

Probably you are looking for something like this?

Wow! Those are nice. Thanks for sharing them. Is there a site where other such scripts are available?

Thank you for the response. I am sure this is what I am looking for but when I try to load it into Vegas 7 I get an error message “an error occured while loading the project file. The file is an unsupported format”. I tried this with Vegas 6 also. Is this for a newer version of Vegas. Thanks again…Ron

Digital Hotcakes makes all sorts things like this for all kinds of events, not just weddings. I get very nice results.

Sorry Ron but it looks like these vegs are for Vegas Pro 8 and up only 🙁

You can download the trial version of Vegas 9 pro, load these Veg files, adapt them to your needs, render them to e.g. uncompressed avi and import this file into your Vegas 7.

Thanks to all who responded. I think I will try Theo’s suggestion. If this works OK it would probably be a good time to upgrade to Vegas 9 Pro. If not the Hotcakes solution Pete suggested will probably be the way to go.

I’m also pretty impressed with this Open Book effect, so thanks Theo for posting the link.
