I have a several 4 channel BetaCam SP cassettes that need to be captured, edited and re-mixed to 2 track stereo. I have considerable resources at hand and just wondering the best route to take.

I have a BVW-50 that can play all 4 tracks into a DSR-2000 DVCam and convert everything into firewire with 32k – 4 track audio. Although this works very well, video looks great, the audio is 32K, but only ch 1 & 2 show up on my vegas timeline when I import.

I have DVW-A500 DigiBeta that can play BetaCam SP, with all 4 audio tracks. I can capture this, via Decklink HD Extreme, the SDI video with embedded 4 ch audio, but still only get ch 1 & 2 when I import.

    What are my options here?

    Thanks in advance!

I thought that Scenalizer Live captured all four channels of 32k audio. I just looked on their web site and saw no mention of this but I seem to remember it from a long time ago. They have a free trial so it might be worth a download to try it and see.

Thanks for the reply. I have Scenealyzer that I purchased and installed 3 or 4 yrs ago. It is a solution and the one I used last night to capture 3 hrs of 4 ch BetaCam SP. Channels 3 & 4 are captured as .wav files. Channels 1 & 2 are captured with the DVCam avi, 32k format.

I assumed that in the 3 to 4 years since I last tried this some improvement would have taken place.

Anyway, Scenealyzer works fine. I just regret having to use the 32K audio mode for ch 1 & 2.
