    I have created a 35 min video with photos, videos, and more. In the preview it looks GREAT. When I render it, no matter what I choose, the render looks blocky. The videos were shot in HD, most of the photos are of a higher resolution than the project. Yes, I am reading from one drive and rendering to another.

    Side note, I ran GSpot v2.07a to look at my codecs. All ‘seem’ OK but one:

    – – ** Problem ** ** File Missing:
    – – Type DSH
    – – Function Splitter
    DSH 4CC MPEG2_TRANSPORT
    DSH Friendly Name Pinnacle MPEG Demuxer
    DSH DirectShow CLSID {D40E18E6-DC6D-4155-8B4A-5E6E1550C452}
    REG Merit 0x00200000

    So where’d that go?

    Thanks in advance

    It looks like you have some Pinnacle software on your computer that is interfering with Movie Studio. I would uninstall the Pinnacle software and re-install Movie Studio and see if that fixes the problem.

    I used to have a pinnacle product which is why I think it is missing. Think I can reinstall Vegas without uninstalling it to line up the codecs again?

    Well it looks like it did not uninstall cleanly but that doesn’t surprise me coming from Pinnacle.

    Think I can reinstall Vegas without uninstalling it to line up the codecs again?

    It’s worth a try. If it doesn’t work, contact Pinnacle and ask them how to remove the junk they left behind.
