After finishing my first project in Vegas, I’m getting information that 2GB isn’t enough memory to run Vegas to process projects over 30 minutes. I need to render out an M2T file of this 90 minute project but it stops at around 30 minutes with the virtal memory error.

Recommended VM is: 4605MB. It’s currently set at 4092MB for both Initial and Maximum. System: Dual Xeon E5440@2833MHz, 8 core, 2GB memory.

Is Vegas Pro 9 really that hungry for memory?

Are you using Vegas Pro 9.0c? (the latest update) As I said in your previous post, you need more memory if you want to use all of those cores. Try limiting Vegas to only 1 rendering thread in the preferences. That might help.
