    Hi Everyone!

I am a new user of Sony Vegas Platinum V9.0b (build 92). The learning curve for a newcomer is steep, but I’m getting there!

I’m capturing HD video from my Canon HV30 camcorder, which is (I think) a current production model. I’m using the “auto scene detect” facility in Vegas, and the capture process is working fine, except that at the end of each clip the first frame of the next clip is being included! (I’m probably also losing the first frame of each clip, but this doesn’t really matter, given the level of accuracy that I require.)

Presumably this problem stems from a slight lack of coordination between my PC and the camcorder (which are connected by firewire), but I can’t see anywhere within Vegas where there is scope for making the necessary timing adjustment.

Can anyone advise me on this subject, please?

Nope. It’s a bug in the Vegas HDV capture utility that has been there for several releases and has not been fixed. 🙁 There is nothing you can do about it.
