Part of my time;ine has disappeared. I had to replace the MoBo and power supply in my box. Now when I open V7 or 8 I am missing the lower slider and plus and minus sign for shortening or extending the time line. I have tried rebooting Vegas with Ctrl and Alt to regain afactory settings but made no difference. See pic below:

    Further information:
I uninstalled V8 Pro and reinstalled it and ended up with the same problem. I have it installed on another computer and everything is Ok there. Cannot figure out where (how) it has disappeared.

Try turning off any acceleration for your graphics card. The black bar across the bottom of the interface is where your horizontal scroll bar should be but is not. This looks like a graphics card display problem.

John is right Terry….That is a graphic card configuration issue.

You’re ALSO missing your vertically scroll controls too.

Try disengaging XP Theme Support and then re-engaging? You’ll need to close Vegas after each change.

    Grazie

    Thanks for the help guys:
John: I disabled the acceleration on the video card -no change. Reenabled it – no change.

Graham: I disengaged XP theme support and restarted Vegas and VOILA problem was fixed. I then reenabled XP theme support and restrted Vegas and problem was back.

So I disabled XP theme support and reenabled video card acceleration and it was still fixed.

Thanks for the help: This forum rocks!

BTW I don’t know if XP theme support was enabled or not before I had to change the parts.
