  Why is my footage Laggy??? Please Help

  Just bought a new Sony HDR-CX100 Hd camcorder. when bring the footage onto my computer its very laggy, in VLC, and In sony vegas. What could be the problem?? Please someone help. I never had problems like this with my old DCR-SR47, which is extremely similar, just not HD.

  Laggy? That’s a term I haven’t heard to describe video. But, if you are talking about AVCHD, then you need a pretty powerful CPU to be able to play it on the timeline at full-speed.

  okay im sorry thats the only term i know how to describe it. Anyways, Im using it on a Macbook Pro. I also have sony vegas pro 9 on my windows side. Is that the only way i’ll be able to view the footage smoothly, is after its rendered in Sony Vegas?
