  New Blue FX locking up Sony Vegas 8.0c

  I’ve been using New Blue FX Video Essentials II since July without issue. Today, it is causing Sony Vegas v.8.0c to lock up. If I create a new project and pick any of the NBFX, Vegas locks up. If I try to load an existing project that contains NBFX, Vegas locks up while loading the project.

  I downloaded NBFX from their site, but did not purchase the CD so uninstalling and reinstalling (my first thought) will not work. Any other ideas would be much appreciated.

  Well first… You SHOULD be keeping a folder somewhere on your data drive marked “purchased programs” for all your downloaded purchases.

  I’m not a big believer in Microsoft restore points (I do disk imaging instead for a more complete and secure backup method) but if you have restore on then try going back a few pints and see if that helps.
