    Hi,
when I upload an HD video to YouTube it becomes compressed vertically; it tries to put a widescreen format into normal space. I thought I had followed guidelines and I note that Sony Vegas 9.0c actually has YouTube and YouTube HD (which I used) render options.

What project types and render options have you used to successfully load an HD project to YouTube?

I am based in the UK, could that be affecting my options? i.e. does the YouTube HD upload facility expect US formats? I think I was using an HD 1080-50i project template.

    thanks

1280 x 720 mp4, at the highest bit rate you can with out passing the ten minute, 1gig upload limit. here’s some I uploaded in that format.

    Hi,
thanks very much for the replies. Things look much beter now.

One thing I added though was to make pixel ratio 1.0 down from 1.4. I still haven’t figured out how that helps but it does.
