I know this should be a no brainer but it has not proved quite as straight forward as I hoped so I thought I would ask here.

My main problem seems to be that my project is 16:9 but I am getting 4:3. What codecs/settings are people using for maximum quality that keep the aspect ratio?

Another problem is that when I play back on my edit box it comes out VERY overexposed but it is fine on other computers. This is a bit off topic as its probably a windows problem so feel free to ignore. When I say VERY I really mean it, its not simply that the settings of VLC/WMP or the screen is out. This is a problem for all the codecs I have tried.

    Regards,
    Ben

I would render using the Sony AVC codec with one of the new Internet SD or Internet HD templates in Vegas Pro 9.0. These are specifically designed to work with video sites like YouTube. The key is to use a template that uses square pixels (i.e., PAR 1.0).
