Green “Blotches” and Freezing Problem
Hey gang, here’s my situation…
I’m trying to turn a bunch of small clips into one long video, and each clip plays just fine using any media player, but when I import them into Vegas there becomes “green blotches” at the bottom of the video and every 5-10 seconds it freezes for a moment then continues playing. : /
Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?

That’s what I’m beginning to think as well Steve. I dl’d these clips from Youtube using Clip Nabber.com. This is just for my own personal use of course.
What puzzles me is that again, they play just fine on there own but when imported into Vegas the problems arise.

I would download the x264vfw codec and see if that helps. Make sure Vegas is not running when you install the new codec.
The videos are not corrupt. This is how YouTube videos look in Vegas. Vegas doesn’t like YouTube’s encoding. The x264vfw might fix it for you. Othewise you’ll have to use a tool like Avidemux 2.5 to re-encode them to a format that Vegas can edit (like Huffyuv, Lararith, MJPEG, DV, etc.).
