    Hello all,
Sorry if this has been asked before. I have Vegas 9c and when I try to add a video fx to a clip (ie: color corrector) Vegas will flash like it is trying to open the color corrector dialogue box. However, there is no dialogue box to make changes in. It seems to me like Vegas did not pick up the plug-ins when I upgraded from B. Reinstall maybe? I will probably go to Win7 and a 64 bit install if thats the case.

    TIA,
    Mike

Yes sometimes the plugins are not carried over on the 8 to 9 upgrade. To check and see for sure go to “View” —–> “Video FX” If the fx list is not present here you lost them in the upgrade.

If they are lost try a simple reinstall. If that doesn’t work we’ll get more complicated.

Thanks for the response. The Video FX list does populate in the View -> video FX tab. Whether I select them from there or from the clip itself it does the same thing. I did have V9a upgraded to 9b and all was working fine.

BTW, when I reload veg files created in 8, 9a or 9b the clip effects icon is green but I cant open the effect to adjust but it is still applied. Change can be seen when I bypass the effect.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I’ll bet the dialog box (the flash you see) is moving “off the screen” – possibly hidden under the START bar. Move the start bar or change your screen resolution, move the dialog back to the main area of the screen, and then set it back.

Hold your cards folks, we have a winner!!

That was it. Dialogue box hiding behind task-bar.

    Thanks for the help.
