  DVD Architect – Have Audio but Not Video After Burning

  Hi,

  Total noob here and to this kind of software. I’ve used trial versions Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0 & DVD Architect 4.5 for the last week to create DVDs for a group of friends. So far, so good – until today.

  I have a project with six videos that I wish to burn to DVD. None of these videos were created with Vegas. Five are WMVs and one is an MPG. According to DVD Architect, I’ve successfully prepared the project. After burning, two of the WMV videos have audio but not video when playing the DVD. Both these videos play just fine otherwise: in DVD Architect or as stand-alone videos.

  Any thoughts as to what I might try/do to ensure that I’ve got video after preparing/burning these two videos?

  I guess that you are making a videoDVD and not a dataDVD? Then all the wmv files need to be recompressed to MPEG2. Maybe that step didn’t work well for the two videofiles that went wrong. Or you didn’t connect those video’s to their buttons. Or…. etc.

  Can’t you add your projecfile as an attachment?

  Thanks for your response. And, yes, I’m trying to make a video DVD. I was able to finally burn the DVD; I re-prepared the project and the burn went smoothly. I’m afraid I see no way to attach my project on this message composition page. If it works for you, I can email it to you.
  I’ve run into something else, of course. It can take wildly varying times to burn this project. When things are working properly, it takes about ten minutes to burn this project. Other times DVD Architect appears to hang and it takes tens of minutes. All without changing a thing except the physical DVD in the drive. Any thoughts?
