  replace clip

  i’ve forgotten how to replace a clip in the timeline with a different one and keep everything including effects in place?

  Go to the project media tab and right-click on the media you would like to replace and select REPLACE from the pop-up menu.

  you could right click it, and select in media bin. Once you’ve found that, right click the media and choose replace

  OR

  if you didn’t want to replace the media since it’s been used elsewhere, you could drag the new media with the RIGHT mouse button on to the existing media in the timeline, and choose to add as a TAKE.
