What is the procedure to render out a 5.1 file in Vegas 9c and then import into DVDA without it recompressing and subsequently making the file really quiet?

    Thanks!

Use the PRO encoder. The “Studio” encoder is not dolby certified and will re-compress just about every time.

Also make absolutely sure your output is compliant with the dvd (or blu ray) standard or re-compressing will occur.

Third item… DVDa likes a SEPARATE video stream and audio stream as an input. Don’t try to mux your audio/video before bringing it into DVDa. Instead bring them in separately and allow DVDa to do the muxing.

Thanks, setting to -31 helped as well.
