Help on frames/video
When I scroll through timeline, it skips frames and stuff (even though I zoom in). Any help will be appreciated.

If you use the arrow button, the timeline will take steps of 5 frames. If you also press the Alt button, it will take steps of just 1 frame.

Do you mean moving the video in the track motion or the pan/crop window? No, then the Alt button has no effect. If you would like to move the video in one of those windows in steps of 1 pixel, you simply click on the value for the desired parameter. Then 2 arrows will appear for movements in steps of 1 pixel and one arrow will appear for movement in giant steps (see figure).

I mean on the timeline, the preview video skips when I move the video (zoomed in on the timeline). Quantize to frames was off. Does it have to do with the video files?

When you switch off the Quantitize to Frame, this could lead to strange flashes after rendering. However, it should not affect your preview when you move your event on the timeline.
Normally you can move your events on the timeline in steps of 1 frame without skipping the preview. Are you working with highly compressed footage?Theo

Does 300mb a highly compressed footage?

What is the extention of the files?

Oh, preview of .mov and .wmv files is always more difficult then preview of e.g. DV-avi
