Stopped Working
I keep getting a message that pops up on my screen when I try to open Sony Vegas Movie Studio. It says that the a problem has made the program stop working ans tells me that Sony Vegas has stopped working. I know I was adding a deleting a bunch of files, trying to get avi. files to play in the storyboard in Sony Vegas, and since then it’s stopped working. I’m not sure what I deleted, if maybe it was a codec of some kind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you start Movie Studio, does it normally open the last project you were working on? In that case you can try moving this project to another folder. Then open Movie Studio again. You will get an error message stating that Movie Studio can not find the project. Just tell Movie Studio to ignore it.
If Movie Studio now opens fine, you know that you just have a problem in your last project.Theo

Ouch! Did you know what you were deleting? There’s no telling what damage you may have done. I would start Movie Studio while holding down the Shift+Ctrl keys. This will reset it to the factory defaults. If that doesn’t work, I would completely uninstall and re-install it just to be sure that everything is there and installed correctly.
