Ok, so I am pretty much a complete newbie and have noticed this strange phenomenon on a few of my rendered wmvs. On the computer, the playback is fine, but on our LG flat screen, the movie slows down and then speeds up during parts where I have used a standard Vegas transition. It’s almost like the TV is running out of memory and then playing catch up?
I capture my footage in 1920×1080 24p, save projects with these settings, and render wmvs in 6.4Mbps HD 1080-24p video. I have only noticed the problem on one or two movies where there’s lots going on: high def video, titling, transitions all on screen at once. Is this a TV thing or am I making mistakes with my project?

Also, as I am a complete noob on matters of encoding, pulldowns, etc, can anyone recommend any comprehensive books or websites? Information on the net seems so far to be sort of all over the place and only serves to confuse me.

Thank you in advance for any help!

It could be whatever you are using to play the video back on your TV. You didn’t say what it was but since it’s wmv I’m pretty sure it’s not a Blu-ray player.

Ahh, we’re actually using the BroadSign Player software to push the videos onto the TVs. We have noticed that it isn’t exactly top notch. So that must be it. Thank you!
