After import and basic editing of clips in the timeline (mostly simple fades), during playback in the preview window some video clips will flash one or two frames from a different section of the source video clip they reference. These errors are not in the source media, and in Vegas it does not happen in the trimmer window when played back; yet it DOES occur in the preview window. Once this brief incorrect frame reference is introduced into the clip on the timeline, there seems to be no way to fully remedy these glitches that occur in the project, even after re-importing the clip anew from a different referenced location on the hard drive. I can zoom in to frame level and actually delete the couple frames, but over the course of working on a project, more of these errors crop up with no rhyme or reason, so even as I fix one or two, an additional one or more appear. I have also tried to open the project from a different computer, but the errors all seem to carry over. When a very small portion is rendered it doesn’t exhibit the problem (even though it is seen in the project timeline). However the errors are ALWAYS present when rendering a full video of, say, 3 minutes or more. Perhaps the problem doesn’t show in the render of a small segment because the originally misreferenced frames aren’t in that length of video? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated, I’m watching my project get glitchy before my eyes as I work with it! Thanks so much!
