Cannot Add Effect
I have just been messing around on Sony Vegas Pro 8 recently and i have ran into an issue. I can go on a clip and add an effect, but when i try to adjust the effect i cant. (for example: i cant adjust the color to key and the blur and stuff on the chroma key effect.) the dialog box doesnt even come up! Please help!

If you are finding this on ALL FXs Controls, chances are you have “squished” them out of sight. Can you ONLY see the K/F Timeline? OR are you saying that there IS a space for the controls but they are missing? Squishing or Missing?

It IS happening to all of the effects. when i tryh to adjust a plcaed effect, the screen kinda blinks like its thinking but the dialog box never even comes up.

Chances are you have kind of shoved it off the screen somewhere. Try increasing your screen settings (makes everything smaller) and see if you see it to one side or the other. If so drag it back to the center and resize back to normal.

I tried to adjust the resolution but i was already at the highest resolution, so that didn’t work..

OK, hold down Ctrl & Shift while opening Vegas. This will reset to Factory settings. BUT yhou will lose any custom settings you may have made.
