So within these past few days, Ive suddenly been getting alot of problems in Vegas. Maybe 2 or 3 days ago every time I’d close Vegas it’d close and then a message would pop up a minute later saying something like Vegas encountered a problem and did not close properly. It now does that every time I close Vegas, and sometimes while Im in the middle of working on a project.

Also I took alot of time putting different fonts through out my video and all the sudden after noticing two of my clips went red, all my text through out the project went to the default sample text, and there was nothing i could do to undo it. And before I take the time to redo all the text over (ugh) I want to make sure this wont happen again.

I know clips turning red can mean bad clips but I know all my clips are stable. I have also been noticing some clips skip in vegas when they play fine if i open them in windows media player. There is a mix of red and pink clips.

Sorry this is so long but what is the exact problem here? Seems like suddenly there are so many. Vegas has worked fine for months up until now. But the project Im working on has alot of detail and video tracks, and Im still not done, so I really need Vegas to work and soon.

The only thing I can think is maybe its my computer? It is getting low on memory maybe it cant handle this big project? Either way I need a solution to fix this cause I have to finish it this week. Thanx for reading.

EDIT: And to add to the above I’ve just finished reinstalling it and Im getting the same sorts of problems, so yea not sure what to do?

    – BIG clue there. Which version of VP9 you got? This was an issue of VP9a . SONY did a quick turnaround to produce VP9b . Get on the INTERNET and the SONY site and read all about it.

can you post a link to the info about vegas 9.0b fixes regarding text generator.. In the release notes it mentions a fix with little detail.

    Sure: https://sony-234.vo.llnwd.net/dspcdn/releasenotes/vegaspro90b_readme_enu.htm

Read the very first line of Notable fixes/changes in Version 9.0b

    Does this sound familiar?

Thanks for the link. I had already read that portion of the release notes and was looking for more detail. My issue came up when I edited a 1 hr project using 9.0a and when I opened it in 9.0b all the graphics were missing. The graphic events are still on the timeline but are now blank.

So are you saying all the problems stem from it being an earlier version? and I just need to upgrade and everything will be fine? Even the red clips and the error message? Are upgrades free?
