  adding dvd footage to mini dv timeline

  Aloha gang,
  Need to mix some source from a dvd camera with source from a mini dv camera. I know the dvd is compressed a bunch and thought I read once where you play the dvd on a player with component outs and capture to Vegas rather than import dvd and you get a better looking clip from the component capture. Is that correct and or is there a better method to get the best from the dvd? Thanks for your time…….bobt

  When I need to import back my own DVD material I place the DVD in the PC’s DVD player/burner and GO:-

  File | Import | DVD Camcorder Disc . . . and follow the onscreen instructions.

  Done! Couldn’t be easier.
