  mixing 5d & XHA1 video

  Can someone recommend settings for mixing A1 shot in 30f & 5D converted with neoscene? Vegas 8 crashes or freezes and in vegas 9b I get the out of memory error. I have 4gb ram and vegas seems to only use 2. Can anyone shed some light on this. 1920×1080? 1440×1080? Progressive? Upper field? lower field? I am getting way behind. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
