  fading effects in and out

  is there a way to fade effects in and out instead of it being on the whole clip? on vegas pro 8.0

  Most, if not all, effects can be keyframed which allows you to control their visibility/appearance.

  There are several tutorials about keyframing in Vegas on YouTube.
