I finally got a chance to try it out late last night on my home system, which is an i7 920 with an overclocked 8800gt running 64 bit Win 7. The trial puts this ridiculously large white box over most of the frame so it’s kind of hard to tell, but from what I saw it was playing the avchd files from my Sony SR11 really smoothly. The problem is that the color kept flipping all around. The footage was of a Tae Kwon Do exam on a tripod, but the color shifting made it look like we were at a disco with flashing red and green lights.

Then I tried to open an existing project and Vegas would crash each time. This was using the 186 drivers they recommend on their website. Overall I’d say it’s an interesting technology that I seriously hope gets developed further, but at this point it’s try before you buy for sure.

    Hi Guys,
I purchased the GPU Decoder from divide frame for sony vegas for US$99.99.
This decoder freezes the whole thing. I have a great system Windows 7 32 and 64bit8GB RAM, Quad Core 4 processors and power nVidia GForce graphic card. This is a rip off and will not recommand this GPU Decoder to anyone. Now I got stuck with this bull and there no returns

    Dear Sleiman,

It is a good lesson to use the free trial, isn’t it?

    (It has happened to many.)
