  Can’t install Vegas 9 64bit

  I’m running Vista 64bit and finally decided to use my trial of Vegas 9. However, when I go to install the 64bit version of Vegas, it says it needs both the 64 & 32 bit versions of the Microsoft C++ 2008 Redistributable installed. Then it has an “install” button right beneath that information as if to suggest that it can and will install those needed components. However, once I click install it just gives an error: “Requirements not Met. Press OK to Exit Install.”

  I tried downloading and installing both of those manually, that didn’t work. Neither did uninstalling both from Programs in the Control Panel, so the Vegas installer could start fresh. Glad I didn’t buy Vegas 9 before trying, since it may not install.

  Any ideas?

  Try uninstalling, then reinstalling the .NET framework.
