burner
Posted by Ed Vandenderen on August 4, 2009 at 10:48 pmCan anyone recommend a blue ray burner that has worked with architect.
I know some of the reg burners have had accommodation issues?
Not a real big deal as I have found Nero just fine to burn with post architect.Does architect put out the same TS files with a blue ray prepare as with general dvd?

August 5, 2009 at 1:18 amFor internal drive in a Windows Vista PC, I used LG GGW-H20L; no problems at all.
For external, I used a LaCie Blu-ray burner connected via USB2 or FireWire/IEEE-1394. (https://www.lacie.com)
What is nice about DVD Architect 5.0 is that basic menus can be created. I edited my HDV video with Vegas Pro 9
You can burn to BD-RE discs as well as BD-R. What is nice about the BD-RE discs is that you can erase and burn again, multiple times.
Disclaimer: I am employed by LaCie

August 5, 2009 at 5:31 pmJohn would there tend to be less of a chance of compatibility issues if on were to use a sony burner vs other brands.
Let me make sure I understood you correctly before I buy one, you have burned bd no issues with the pioneer using dvd architect. Good news as these sync issues have cost me dearly in the past.
thanks John

August 6, 2009 at 1:06 amI don’t know if a Sony burner has any better chances of working. I have bought only Pioneer burners since my very first DVD burner back in 2002. To answer your question directly, yes… this is the Blu-ray burner that I make Blu-ray discs with and so far it has been working fine with DVD Architect 5.0. VideoGuys sells it bundled with Vegas and DVD Architect. If it didn’t work, I don’t think they would bundle the drive.

August 7, 2009 at 12:03 amThe Pioneer BDR-203 works great with Vegas 9 and DVD a]Arch. We made sure of that by sending a few over to them for the team to test and evaluate.
