    I successfully rendered a video last night, but the sound (dialogue) is not in stereo. I’m sure this is a setting I overlooked. Can someone tell me what it might have been?

    This is my first editing effort, in case that explains anything.

    First, confirm that the project itself is using stereo. Then it’s just a matter of checking the render template you used. When you render a file, the Render As dialog includes a description below for the currently selected template. All of the default templates say whether it’s stereo or mono. So, if you want stereo, choose a template that says it uses stereo. Or if there’s one using mono but has all the other characteristics you want, choose that, hit the Customize button, and adjust the settings on the Audio tab of the Custom Template dialog.

    If neither of those help, then either a) your video already is using stereo or b) it’s getting changed somewhere else (by Youtube, perhaps?)
