  Installed Version 9 Platinum Pro Pack, won’t start, screwed up my computer

  I just installed the Platinum Pro Pack on my computer (XP – Home) and while the installation had seemingly no problems, the program would not run when I double clicked, right-clicked to open, went to the startup menu, nothing. I had already uninstalled the free trial (which ran fine) and restarted, and all the other programs included in the package also installed and ran.

  So I went to the Sony Creative site and found this link, followed the MSCONFIG directions, and now I can’t run anything on my computer. Not the internet, not even the Control Panel.

  Any ideas?

  I would just reinstall Windows. Then everything should work fine…

  I agree with Theo, but before you go to reload Windows, you might try booting in Safe Mode (usually F8 on startup), and see if you can get System Restore to run.

  If that won’t work, then reloading Windows….
