I’m looking to create the effect of distorting someone’s voice as some do in shows where they’re hiding the person’s identity.

I’m not a Vegas wiz. I use it a lot but mainly on basic things. With that in mind, if you have advice for me, please break it down into very basic advice. 🙂

Is there a plug in for this? Easier to do with existing audio settings?

    Advice?

    Thank you in advance.

Usually Pitch Shift is used to disguise a voice. Shifting it down or up is usually sufficient to mask it. You could also add Flange or Chorus to make it even more alien. All of those are in the Vegas audio plug-ins.
