Rendering in HD taking up WAY too much memory in Sony Vegas 9.0
Ok, When I go to render only 18 seconds of a 5-layer video on Sony Vegas in HD, it takes over 20 minutes & is 125 MB.
I’ve made another video in which I rendered it in the exact same length & it had nearly 20 layers & it only took around 5-7 minutes & is only 27 MB in HD.
I plan to upload this video to youtube, but with the full version taking over 2 hours to render & around 433 MB, it will take up to 12 hours according to the status bar when uploading.
I’ve been trying all different sorts of techiniques to help with this such as re-doing the video & not rendering it in HD.
It really didn’t take much less time to render it in another way. I really want it in HD & to take up a logical amount of memory. There is no reason for it to take up so much memory & so much rendering time when it only has 5 layers & not too many effects.
Sorry, this is probably really hard to understand, I tried to explain as well as I could, but I’m sick of my Vegas Videos taking up so much memory that I can’t even watch them because it freezes during playback. Other videos with tons of other effects/layers take only a fraction of the rendering time & memory. I’m wondering if it is something I did wrong when opening the program.. I’m out of ideas & desperate for help. I really want HD to work properly.
