    mmm…..I thought this would be easy. Just dump a hi-8 video tape into Vegas in one shot. Unless I’m missing something vidcap 6.0 doesn’t have that capability (which makes me wonder why they have a drop down box showing all my audio card inputs…grayed out.)

    Any help appreciated

    If you have your camcorder’s audio & video jacks plugged into your Canopus box and are sending it to your computer through a firewire port, both audio & video WILL be captured simultaneously.
    I do this all the time and it always works for me.

    If you have a Digital 8 camcorder or deck, you can also capture 8mm, Hi8mm and Digital 8mm tapes, with audio, via firewire.
