Yup, and it loads fine into Vegas Pro 9.0. Curiously, it won’t load into Windows Media Player (causes a hard crash)! After Effects CS4 said it was an unsupported format or corrupt file. Premiere Pro CS4 said the file had “an unsupported Audio rate in file” and it would not import it.

So it looks like you need Vegas Pro 9.0 because it’s the only NLE that can work with these files. (played back just fine) 😉

This sounds like a QT file to me. All my MP4’s open in QT.

By the way, where’s the clip. All I see on the link was AVS video converter.

Thanks John. I downloaded the trial version of Vegas Pro 9 and tried loading the clip and it didn’t crash.
Looks like it’s a ‘divide by zero’ bug regarding version 8.
I also tried it with version 6 and 7. Eventhough they only loaded the audio stream with no video, they both managed to load the clip without crashing.

By the way, the clip was downloaded from Youtube. It’s nice to know that it’s possible to edit Youtube HD videos with Vegas Pro 9.
