  Protype titler background

  I want to change the background color of my text, but I can’t for the life of me find out how. I tried changing the background color under “preview” but that only changed the preview background color, not the actual project. Please help, the online vegas guide isnt very informative.

  If I understand well, you are talking about the background color of the event, not about the color of the text. You can simply place a solid color (or gradient or whatever you like) from the Media Generators tab to the track below the track that contains the protype titler.
