  Vegas 8.1 slower than 8.0b?

  Hello everyone,

  Why would rendering times be faster in 8.0b than 8.1? I just rendered a few exact same test clips in both and the 32 bit version was faster every time. Am I missing something here?

  I have a dual boot system. Win XP 32bit and Win XP 64bit. Q8200 Quad Core and 4GB DDR2 1066 RAM.

  Aloha Pete,
  You know that V8.1 only supports Vista 64 bit not WXP 64 bit?

  What do you mean? It installed just fine on xp 64.

  From Sony site: I installed it on my xp64bit and everything was good till I tried to combine V8.1 stuff with V8.0b

  System Requirements
  Microsoft® Windows® XP 32-bit SP2 (SP3 recommended) or Windows Vista™ 32-bit or 64-bit (SP1 recommended)
  1 GHz processor (multicore or multiprocessor CPU recommended for HD)
  200 MB hard-disk space for program installation
  1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended)
