  Imported a video and

  Why is it when i imported a video that i downloaded from youtube it wont let me split the video and overlap? I am trying to get a crossfade going on it and it just bounces me back to where i started the drag… thanks

  First off…you need to tell us what format
  this video is in that you got from youtube.

  I downloaded the file from youtube then converted it to DVD NTCS format.

  Ok im pretty much seeing that any video that you import,no matter what i try…. copy, paste, cut cannot overlap itself, why is this. I want to do a crossfade using the same imported video and ive tried everything, any ideas?

  Maybe you accidentally turned off the Automatic Crossfades (Ctrl+Shift+X) option.

  thanks for the reply but it is.. i can still crossfade the video im trying to crossfade within itself to other videos
