    Hi

Okay, got a project that I put in some mild Event Pan & Crop for some zoom and on others zoom and slow pan. However I notice that the zoom causes the video to loose it’s sharpness. It’s not zoomed in all that much.

Is there a way to correct that? It don’t happen in FCP ha ha ha! I even rendered the segment and it’s still a bit fuzzy.

    Thanks
    Allen

Can you post an example of what FCP does with it and what Vegas does with the same footage with P&C?

Scaling up will always soften the picture. Perhaps FCP compensates for that?

You could always use the Unsharp mask to try and return some detail. NewBlueFX also has a Detail Enhancer plug-in in their Video Essentials pack that works pretty well. I saw this demoed at NAB this year (actually they were demoing Video Essentials II which has not been released yet) and it does a nice job of returning detail to a fuzzy shot.

    Hi

wow, I forgot I had New Blue Video Essentials. I’l try that.

As far as getting this exact same clip into FCP right now may be hard to do as some of the clips are that Sanyo MP4 stuff which FCP doesn’t like. Also the Mac is tied up with the Los Angeles project right now.

It’s not tht bad but my eye notices it. Possibly the client won’t notice it. Just thought I’d ask.

I’ll try though and let you know.
    Thanks
